Superheroes running high-traffic sites in Malaysia

One of the highly anticipated technology-centered events of the month, Lvl. Up KL brought us Lvl. Up: Internet Architecture. Of course, it was again a full house with about 200 attendees eager to catch a glimpse of  the superheroes running Malaysia’s high traffic sites and to learn from their day-to-days tasks handling internet trenches.

Some of the speakers that took the stage that day were:

  • Michael Cheah, lead mobile engineer and night-shift system administrator at MyTeksi
  • Yusseri Yusoff, blackboard monitor at Omnitechnik Systems Engineering
  • Gareth Davies, CTO of  Mindvalley, founder of, Shutter Asia on Facebook and blogs at
  • Wai Keen Woon, co-founder of OnApp’s CDN division and volunteer fireman at Lowyat.NET
  • Nazrul Kamaruddin, founder of GTUG Kuala Lumpur and handles the internet for Media Prima Digital
